FOREST BATHING & NATURE CONNECTION IN PURBECK DORSET
Come spend a while with the forest...
Connect with nature, immerse your senses and benefit from the healing, restorative powers of the living world.
What is Forest Bathing, or Shinrin-Yoku (森林浴)?
Forest Bathing is the Japanese practice of relaxation and rejuvenation involving mindfulness practices and rituals whilst immersed in nature, and is scientifically proven to promote your overall wellness. Forest Bathing awakens us to tune in with nature, and to our own natural rhythms.
What can I expect in a Forest Bathing session?
Forest bathing / Shinrin-yoku is more than just a walk in the woods, it’s a conscious, contemplative practice that ignites the senses and is proven to boost your physical and mental wellbeing.
Your nature reconnection experience consists of a slow walk incorporating mindfulness, sensory experiences and holistic practices, all designed to relax, rebalance and de-stress.
Forest Bathing sessions take place in special locations across Purbeck, Dorset. Ancient, undisturbed woodlands that are full of energy and magic are ready and waiting to welcome you home.
“Give yourself permission to slow down. This felt like a massage for my soul...”
The Vibrant Earth Difference
As well being as a Forest Therapy Practitioner, I offer Forest Bathing / Shinrin-yoku with a difference...
Traditional forest bathing techniques are combined with guided practices that help you to open up your senses to experience the landscape and trees in a deeper way, allowing for a meaningful reconnection with nature.
I also partner with other local wellbeing practictioners to create immersive experiences featuring sound baths, movement and creativity.

Nature is the best place to rest, heal and recharge. Many of us make getting out into nature a priority, but the full power of nature’s medicine can only truly be felt when we slow down enough to take it all in…because it’s then that we remember our place as part of it.

Your Nature Connection host, Sara Greenwood
Hi, I'm Sara, owner at Vibrant Earth and your forest guide!
I am here to co-create forest bathing and deeper nature connection sessions in beautiful woodlands, holding space for you to reconnect with the forest to discover and receive exactly what you need.
I offer integrative forest therapy sessions for people with mild to moderate mental health issues, and forest bathing/shinrin-yoku experiences to enable you to take time out, de-stress, slow down and welcome in what nature has to offer. The magic of the forest will stay with you long after your session has ended.
"Woodland teaches us to walk more slowly, listen more deeply, feel more keenly, and sense more subtly, so we can taste the extraordinary magic in each ordinary moment.
Our innate sense of magic, mystery and wonder is restored, because woodland reawakens the ancient wisdom that lives deep in our souls..."

"A Saturday afternoon forest bathing was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. I completely let go and gave myself permission to drop the doing and find peace and comfort in the being. It was magical, enlightening, inspiring and deeply relaxing. It was like time didn’t need to exist in this space and everyday life felt a million miles away. "
